I'm not even sure what gluten free is so I can't answer.
Yeah they open at 10 and close when they sell out normally the ribs are gone by 11 and barbecue sandwiches are gone by a noon to 12:30ish
I go there quite frequency...I love it great bbq & wonderful ppl who work there. Its the BEST BBQ......ppl come from everywhere to get this bbq....
Get there early for ribs, they run out fast but boy are they worth it! All their BBQ is great though, just get there early!! I also get extra BBQ sauce because I love it. I even put it on my eggs!
Sad but true
Look under the photo section. I think there's a pic. Of the menu prices.
YUM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Worth the wait. Ribs and sliced beef were super tender and tasty.Pulled Pork is almost better. ;-)
There is a pick up only "Hut" of a place and the building has not been well maintained. But the 'que is tasty. We had a dinner of sliced beef with double beans as they ran out of Potato salad before 12:30. (They open at 10:30). Beans had smoke but no meat of any type so just a little better than canned. Beef was lean but they do put sauce over it without asking if that was your preference (it is not). The ribs were fall off the bone but a bit on the fatty side. For some fat is flavor so that may have helped. The sausage was not gristly nor so fine as to not have texture. It was clearly smoked with a crisp casing. They have a sign that says "If you cannot wait, Do not order" and this is the case because if you are there at lunch it will take 35 minutes between walking up, standing in line and getting your food.
This is country cooking at its finest, everything is Gr'8 just tell them that Ennis TX sent you, he's from waxahatchie TX but that's okay the food is 1st rate
Delicious pecan smoked genuine tx BBQ. Nuff said.
love it! worth the Waite! True Texas Bar-B-Que! The smoked Brisket is so delicious and if you need to deep that brisket in a barbecue sauce i suggest their spicy barbecue sauce. goodness!
The BEST barbeque in Garland. NOTE: There is no indoor seating, in fact there is no seating here at all AND IT IS TOTALLY WORTH IT. Come early because once they sell out of a certain meat there is no more for the day. They need to make this a Garland landmark.
Get there early. They sell out quick.
This place is so good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you not there early you want get nothing . This place sales out fast. It reminds me of back home . Just down home good BBQ. Nothing big just down home and the young lady there is awesome. She is so sweet and I like it because they call you by name when your food is ready like they been knowing you for years . They give a smile every time they look at you and that is wonderful. That"s God all day everyday. My pray is they are blessed each day God allows them to serve.
If you go to Meshacks SKIPPP THE SIDES the meat is sooo tender and juicy perfectly smoked, if you don’t mind the wait it is definitely a good choice for the meats HOWEVER the potato salad is sooo sweet and bland all at the same time, the baked beans are confused and can’t decide if they are ranch beans, churro beans , or baked beans. The workers clearly put there heart into this BBQ meat they love eat and dream it so much to the point of never washing it off..... but the MEATSSS to die for!
Baby, The roll ups are delicious. And the pork sandwich has just the right amount of sauce. I didn't have time to take pictures but the line is worth the wait.
Bought a rib sandwich and a link sandwich and you can smell and taste the smoke! Delicious!

It was very delicious and seasoned to perfection. Meat was very tender.
I really liked their food. I always get fantastic customer service there. The place is neat and the workers are always welcoming. Will visit here again.
So much hype I had to try this place. Everyone I know that have lived in Garland for a long time swears that Meshack's is the best. I found it average. Better than most franchise chain BBQ places, but far from the best Dallas county has to offer. Not bad, but not worth passing other BBQ places for.
The nature of this kind of food necessitates low and slow cooking. The person who makes it gives of their time, arguably our most valuable commodity. And beyond giving of his time to cook, he still has enough to come out, talk to the regulars, hand out sandwiches and money to the homeless (also regulars), and hand off whole briskets for nearby folks that brought him meat they bought and are only having him smoke.
HURRY! Excellent & going, going, gone. They sell until it is gone daily which is not long. Old timers know just how delish this food happens to be. My sister introduced me to Meshacks. I just moved back to the area. She was told by an ex city employee. He told her the same info..... All employees love it if lucky enough to get it. The times my sister has gone by there to pick up food for her family and my guest unfortunately there have never been any leftovers. Whether at Meshacks Hut or our homes/parties it is beyond excellent and Going, Going, Gone!
The BBQ here is definitely hard to beat. Service is great and fast. I only wish they stayed open a little later.
If you have an hour to waste literally standing around... This is the place! Slowest place I've ever been to but great BBQ. No online ordering or call ahead services. You stand inline outside and wait to be called to a window which is fairly quick. Then (drum roll please) "The Wait" begins. 40 minutes after you order, you just may have your food or not. Don't visit this place if you're in a time crunch because trust... You'll definitely be late returning. Best Que in town but try on a Saturday!
Piles of smokey tender beef and pulled pork, make it worth the long wait. I would give it 5 stars if there were more places outside to sit while we wait. We had to stay in our car...(45 minutes). Also i love the potato salad! The price is great for the amount of food you get. $10 combo meat and two sides. Enough for my husband and i to share and have leftovers. They used to be cash only years ago, now they take cards. The sign says open at 1030, closed when they run out- good business practice, they don't throw away food @ the end of the day.
We got here a few minutes before it opened and there was already a line! Luckily it wasn’t too long of a wait. The people in line were fun and everyone seemed to be excited to eat. We need up getting 3 sandwiches, two roll ups and two drinks. It was under $25 which was very reasonable. The Pulled Pork sandwich was amazing and loaded with meat!! The other beef sandwiches were also as good! Their sauce is a little bit on the runny side but I enjoyed the flavor. In short it’s a good place for BBQ but you do have to get there in time or you might just be left out.
When all you have left of the rib is the bone, what else needs to be said? This place is 🔥!
My food was hot and fast. Great portion and great price! I look forward to my return. I cant wait to try more.
Love this place. Went here all the time when I lived closer. Make the drive at least once a month from Oak Cliff because it's so worth it. This is BBQ heaven. Be early and ready to wait.
All delicious! Great ole school B Q!
My favorite bbq Resturant. very close to my home
Nice ambience and very personal service. The food was fresh and yummy. Will absolutely recommend this spot to my friends. Affordable rates and large meals. Keep up the great work.
It's good. The baked beans are fabulous the brisket is good, the pull pork was a little fatty. If you're in Garland definitely stop by and try it but make sure you have at least 30 minutes to an hour because it's a long wait and they cook to order.
While I know the prices went up due to Covid jacking up meat prices, I still think this is one of the best Bar B Que places I have ever been! :)
THE BEST BBQ ALL AROUND TEXAS
Great no frills BBQ. Be prepared for them to be sold out of items and be ready to wait!
I had an amazing time in this place. We loved the great ambience and the menu. The waiters were super affable. I am glad we eventually decided to visit this restaurant.
Best bbq in the Dfw hands down , can’t go wrong with the jasper!
No frills BBQ served quickly
We always always love the food here!!
If you don't know, now you know.
Just as the sign says. Old fashioned BBQ. The beans are a meal on their own. I wasn't blown away by the potato salad but the beans and brisket will change your life.
Service is great and fast. I only wish they stayed open a little later.
I'd heard about Meshacks but had never been. Sadly, I see no reason to ever return. Average #bbq with a long wait in the hot sun. Ordered at 11:07 received my plate at 11:46. Was hoping the ribs and sausage would make up for the sweaty wait. Too salty ribs and sausage with no defining flavors.
I had heard good things about this place. Pulled up at 11:15 with about 7 customers who had placed orders waiting for their food. I walked right up to the window and ordered $22 in sliced brisket and links. The sign says don’t order if you can’t wait. They aren’t kidding.I stood in the sun for an hour and fifteen minutes after I placed my order. I think they were making individual trips sneaking out of the back door to another BBQ restaurant to fill the orders. People waiting ahead of me waited similar times for just chopped beef sandwiches. I get waiting in a line to place an order, but this was beyond ridiculous. Links were good, but the brisket was dry. Definitely not worth the wait and sunburn for me.
Always the greatest Pecan smoked barbeque in Garland. They sale out really quick. must get there between 9am and 12am. It looks like a shack right of the road but don't let that fool you they have the best barbecue around
Welp, we didn't show up early enough, so we had the pulled pork. The plates were awesome size and it was very good. Staff was friendly and chatty, but again we went at the end of their day, so there weren't many customers and they had time to relax a bit. Looking forward to trying Meshack's again, will get in line for the brisket
The food is great! Ribs don't get any better than those.
Very good, only problem is they sell out too esrly.
We heard about this place a while back and were having a big crowd over for Labor Day Weekend and decided to give it a try. This place is ALL BBQ. Nothing fancy at all. Friendly service but somewhat on the slow side. Some people waited in line for 15 or 20 minutes before even getting to order, but the food is worth the wait. We picked up some sausage and chopped beef and they threw in a loaf of bread and two containers of BBQ sauce, one Hot and one Mild, but you really didn't need the sauce because the meat was so tender and delicious.
Need better system, issue coupon tickets, etc #1,2,3,4,5 so as not to stand in long line
Had to get me some of this good barbecue
Best BBQ around. Get there early because they run out fast. Opens 10:30 and they may sell out by 1:00 or 1:30, but still try and see if you can get you some.
This place has quite a cult following:) It is indeed a little shack and you could easily drive right by it and not notice it. But it is well worth the visit. We've always gotten the brisket when we've been. Superb! Be advised, they do close down when they sell out so if it's later in the afternoon when you're thinking of going, you might call ahead. A few times when we've been, we got the last of the brisket and the folks behind us had to order other things instead.FYI - I guess you could find some place to sit and eat outside if you wanted to but it is really a take out place. Grab and go. And enjoy!
The ribs here are on point. Tender smokey and full of flavor. Real Texas BBQ.
